Top 5 reasons to visit Chile
So I have arrived in Santiago Chile, the first stop on my trip.
Let’s talk about the top 5 reasons to visit Chile, in no particular order except the one in which I visited them!
Usually you will arrive in Chile via Santiago. If you can, get yourself a window seat the vistas on arrival are spectacular:
An evening out in this bustling town will certainly take you to the barrios called Bellavista. This neighbourhood is full of bars and restaurants allowing you taste some of the Chilean food and wine delicacies.Don’t forget to start your evening with a Pisco sour or 3. Though more Peruvian, it is found all over South America.
As you walk around don’t forget to look up to check out the local decorations!
A visit to town would not be complete without a visit to the Parque Municipal, a hill not too far from Bellavista, from which you get get some nice views over Santiago. You will also find a plaque signed by Charles Darwin himself. He stopped over in Chile during his travels.
You cannot go wrong with a stopover in Santiago, its vibrant barrios especially Bellavista, access to great food and of course Chilean wine!
