Having fun waking up at stupid hours
Chasing sunrises means getting up at stupid hours, getting to wherever you want to be in the dark before anyone else gets there, setting up and hoping that your equipment will work, is correctly focused and that nothing goes wrong. When it does it is a great way to spend a morning!
Sunsets are slightly easier as you don’t have to wake up so early…
But in both cases, especially at places like Angkor or Bagan, you end up with a “zoo” of people jostling for position, hence the need to be there early. It’s still great fun though, even when the skies and the sun do not cooperate…
