Some off-roading up the Col de la Moutiere

Off-roading legally in the Parc du Mercantour
The Col de la Bonette is a must do motorbike ride in the south of France. At 2,802 metres the Cime de la Bonette is supposedly the highest paved mountain pass road in Europe. Whether it is or not, it is still a fantastic ride. Being lucky enough to live in the area, I have ridden it many times, on the tarmac.
However there is an alternate way of getting up there, via Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage taking you through a much less travelled road, the last 3 or 4 km of which is unpaved.
It is very easy off-roading, you even run across a few city cars driving through it. I decided it was time to take this path up to the Cime de la Bonette, so here’s the video and some pictures. Hope you enjoy…
