A walk around some of the temples in Angkor

Visiting temples – Right time, right place, right guide…
One thing people always say about visiting the temples of Angkor is that they will be full of people. While true for some temples it does not necessarily have to be the case, even at Angkor Wat or Ta Phrom, arguably two of the most visited temples of Angkor. Sure if you go at 600am to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat, you will be mobbed by thousands and thousands of people all trying to get “the” Lonely Planet image of the sun rising above the towers of Angkor Wat, I know, I have been there, gotten the image, and ran away as quickly as possible! Same thing with “the” tree at Ta Phrom where people actually queue to get their image taken in front of it.
However, if you go with the right guide, who will take you to all the temples at the right time, and especially if you are willing to go off the beaten track and explore around you will be rewarded with peace and quiet and no crowds or even no other person but yourself.
