A drive through Arthur’s Pass

One of only three East-West roads on the south island
The south island can be crossed by car on only 3 roads, the northern route via Lewis Pass, the southern route via Lindis Pass, and the middle route via Arthur’s Pass.
From my point of view it is the more spectacular one, the one that really shows you are crossing alpine country. Winding its way in the middle of Arthur’ Pass National Park, once again you feel the power of New Zealand’s natural beauty, and you have to fight to keep your eyes on the road.
Beth, if you read this thanks for the company on that drive!
